With a colourway as beautiful as Gwaii Haanas, B.C. from the Fleece Artist National Parks Collection, you want to let the colours speak for themselves.

I designed this sock as simply as possible to showcase these breathtaking colours. This pattern is perfect for the beginner sock knitter with an easy german short row heel, and simple stockinette stitch throughout.
This would also be the perfect hike & knit project for more experienced outdoor loving knitters.

Note: Merino Slim yarn is not typically a sock yarn since it has no nylon, and is soft spun. However, I find that typical sock yarn grates on my feet. Although these won’t last as long, they are softer and easier on the soles. If you want the socks to last longer, though, use a sock yarn with nylon.
