These simple socks are knit top-down, starting with a cuff of 64 stitches of basic 2x2 rib. Following the charted or written pattern, the leg is knit to desired length, followed by a slip stitch heel. The pattern restarts along the top of the foot along with a stocking stitch sole. The sock is completed after a number of toe decreases with a grafted toe

The pattern is a very simple lace design, made up of diagonal eyelets that don’t quite meet. Simply put, this is a simple lace design - hence “Simply Simple”!

Note on gauge - I tend to be a loose knitter, and I usually knit with needles a size or two lower than average. Bear that in mind when you decide on needle size – I expect a knitter with average gauge to use a size 2.5mm needle (US size 1.5)
