I finished making these cozy gloves just in time for our Chicago winter to start up. The plush, chunky weight yarn makes these gloves a wonderful accessory for cold weather days. I used ‘Hayfield chunky with wool’ yarn, but any chunky weight substitute will work. In my opinion, the fluffier, the better!

The entire glove is knit in the round on double pointed needles and incorporates fair isle knitting. There is a chart to follow for the snowflake portion of the glove.

The pattern calls for a 1x1 tubular cast on and cast off. I think it gives the gloves a much nicer look and comfier finish. I included written instructions for both in the pattern. It is not a requirement, however, so if you are more comfortable with a different type off cast on/off, that is good too.
