These socks are designed to be where comfort and ease of making meet. A very basic design that creates wonderfully warm winter woollies or tough but breathable boot socks if made with cotton or bamboo yarn. This is written for 3 width/depth sizes (S/M/L) with length easily customisable. This pattern is a blank canvas for creativity, add ribs, cables, fancy stitches, anything!

Over the years I have tried a variety of sock patterns but none have ticked all the boxes for me. In this pattern I have combined my favourite, most simplistic and best-yielding techniques to give you a sock that is easy to make and gives consistently neat, durable and comfortable socks.

I have long loved knitting socks but hated many of the in the round methods and didn’t like having seams either…. So for me the Addi circular sock needles have been a game changer! However if you are in incredible, extra limbed, double pointed master, these will work just fine with any other in the round method too.
