Tucking away the bold, modern lace insert to the back of this elegant top preserves its classic lines without succumbing to a spartan aesthetic. The marl look comes from knitting double, opening up a spectrum of possibilities whether you work with your one favorite color, a strong contrast for a bold and modern look, or a sophisticated blend of subtle tones.

The Simply Surprised Tee is knit in two pieces from the bottom up, with short cap sleeves. Yarn is held double, with one strand of each color for a marled effect. Waist shaping and 4” positive help make a loose and flattering fit.

This pattern includes both written instructions and full charts.
