Every now and again, you need a sock in a hurry. And how better to do that than to knit one in double knitting! Woo!

This sock pattern is similar in construction to my Simply the Simplest Sock pattern except knit in Double Knitting yarn.

The yarn used is West Yorkshire Spinners Aire Valley / Essentials DK (it changed names a wee while ago) which is a robust yarn that wears well and gets softer with washing and wear.

The images show the socks knit in Rainbow & Orange, with contrast cuffs, heels and toes. However, a single 100g ball is sufficient to make, a pair of socks, with a 6 inch leg (inc cuff), up to a UK size 7 regardless of foot width. To make a larger size, additional yarn, or a shorter, leg will be required.
