Sinuosity Hat
Join my patreon at a knit tier to get this pattern plus several others! You’ll get all the patterns here, and at least one pattern each month, plus a ton of zines and a new one each month!
This is part of the Sinuosity Set which includes a hat and two different fingerless mitts patterns.
Knit a hat that flows and waves around the head with simple twisted stitches, then use the leftovers to make a pair of fingerless mitts to match! The flowing stitch pattern is fun to knit once you get the rhythm of it, and it’s very stretchy for sizing flexibility.
The stitch pattern is entirely charted and written.
The hat is knit sideways, flat, with short rows to shape the crown. You’ll stop whenever it fits.
Circumference size is custom based on when you stop knitting, and you can try it on around your head as you go to check for fit. The sample is 21”/53cm around, for a medium sized head, and
the pattern lets you know when it was stopped.
The height is 9”/23cm unstretched, but the stretchy rib makes it very flexible. You may adjust your gauge to adjust the height if you wish—the circumference won’t be affected by gauge changes because you’ll still just stop when the fit is good.
