This little cardigan features diamonds, lines of cable, and double moss stitch. The button and buttonhole bands are made separately, so you simply sew them on to the required sides. Make it for the little boy or girl in your life in more than one colour. Siobhan is the Irish version of the name Joan, and is pronounced Shiv-awn, which means “God is gracious.”

You will need:
3 (3, 4) 50g balls double knitting yarn – I used Lorini Double Knitting from my yarn stash, but believe it may not be readily available any more.
Straight knitting needles: 3.25mm (U.K. 10, U.S. 3)
Cable needle
Yarn needle for sewing up
Stitch holders or spare needles
5 buttons

Finished garment measurements:
Chest: 22 (24, 26)”
Length from back of neck to hem: 13 (14, 15)” - adjustable
Sleeve from underarm to cuff: 8 (9, 10)”
