Siouxsie Sunflower Pocket Bag
This pattern includes detailed written instructions in English using US crochet terms and features photo instructions. The instruction portion of the pattern is 5 pages long.
This crochet pattern will guide you step-by-step to create a beautifully textured and practical crossbody sling bag, adorned with a vintage-inspired sunflower granny square. The granny square is attached as a handy pocket, perfect for keeping your phone or keys in easy reach, and the thermal-stitch strap ensures comfort and durability with low to no stretch. The finished bag measures approximately 10” x 10” (depending on gauge), making it the perfect size for everyday use. The bag panels use a textured but simple stitch pattern, and the strap uses the ultimate low-stretch thermal stitch.
Materials needed for this project include:
Any size 4 cotton yarn on a 5mm hook
I used the following for the pattern sample:
Lion Brand Pima Cotton in colors Vintage - 125 grams, and mineral yellow - less than 20 grams
Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton in colors cafe au lait, amber, and bayleaf - less than 20 grams per color
1-inch D rings and small lobster clips (x2) (optional, you can sew your strap on if you wish)
1 Key ring (optional, for tassel)
Magnetic clasp closure (optional)
Fabric for lining (optional)
