This mermaid inspired sweater combines fair-isle patterning with the magic of ombré yarn. The bright mint fish-scale pattern on the yoke and sleeves blends slowly into a deep grey-green body. The sweater is knit from the top down in one piece, so there are no seams to sew and you can try it on and adjust the fit as you go.

CC: Freia Fine Handpaint Fibers Ombre Sock Yarn in Mint Julep 3 balls (all sizes).

Choose your size based on how you want the sweater to fit. I recommend choosing a size with a bust measurement approximately equal to your own for a flattering fitted look. The sweater is constructed with shaping in the waist and a slightly looser fit around the hips. The yarn is quite elastic, so you can easily go up or down 2 inches from your measurements and still get a nicely fitted sweater. The length can easily be adjusted at several points if you try on as you go.
