The Sirio Tile

This is the first tile of the four tapestry crochet tiles in the Triana Blanket CAL.

About the Triana Blanket CAL:

The Triana Blanket features four square designs in total - two designed by me, and two designed by Catherine of Catherine Crochets.

The full blanket is made using 5 squares of each design, giving you 20 squares altogether. However, you can absolutely mix and match the designs and create your own combination using whichever squares you prefer. Each of the four written square patterns are available to purchase separately, so you can choose to make individual squares or create your own unique blanket.

The joining and border instructions are provided as a separate PDF and are included with the purchase of any one of the individual tile patterns (this will be automatically added to your tile purchase once the it is loaded on the 20th Nov ‘26)

The crochet-along runs through October and November 2026, with a free video tutorial accompanying each part:

Week 1: 23 October - Sirio (Carmen)
Week 2: 30 October - Roseta (Catherine)
Week 3: 6 November - Oliva (Carmen)
Week 4: 13 November - Nova (Catherine)
Week 5: 20 November - framing, joining and border (Carmen & Catherine)

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THIS LISTING:

Triana Blanket overview PDF: the whole blanket layout, yarn totals for both colourways, and how to change the size

Sirio Square pattern - US terms (including a UK conversion chart within the pattern)

Framing, joining and border instructions (coming 20 November 2026)

The Sirio pattern includes written instructions and a tapestry crochet colour chart. Every round is shown step by step in the free video tutorial.

The framing, joining and border instructions will be added to this listing on 20 November 2026. If you’ve bought the Sirio tile, or any other Triana tile by then, they’ll appear in your Ravelry library automatically and we’ll send a Ravelry update to let you know. You only need one tile pattern to receive them.

More about the yarn:

Catherine and I both used WeCrochet Swish DK, which WeCrochet kindly supplied for our blankets. It comes in 61 colours, so you can use one of our colourways or choose your own:

Any smooth DK yarn with a good stitch definition will also work.
