Someone may notice that one of the Sirius socks (p. 35) has been knit top-to-toe and the other toe-to-top. I thought, when I planned the sock, that the pattern would look right side up only if knit upside down - which meant starting at the top. I found the whole thing so unpleasant to make that I didn’t want to do another. If I didn’t want to, why should I think anyone else would? But I liked the sock, so I made the other toe to top, enjoyed doing it, and herewith give the directions. But if anyone wants to work the other way, feel free to do so.
