Sirmiq means Glacier in Eskimo. I feel in love with the variegated blue and gray yarn used in the sample while on vacation in Alaska. The colors are so representative of my experience there that I wanted to capture that beauty in a shawl. Thus… Sirmiq was born!

A basic stockinette shawl with a drop stitch contrasting color pattern to break up the variegation. The perfect pattern for that beautiful variegated yarn you have hiding in your stash.

While the pattern was written for a DK/Sport weight yarn, it is easily adaptable to any weight you may have. Please note, if you substitute a different weight your yardage requirements will be different!
