Sisters Shawl is a two-in-one pattern. You have the option of knitting a “big sister” cosy DK weight shawl (photo 1) or a “wee sister” lightweight shawlette (photo 2) with one skein of fingering weight yarn. The Shawlette gives you a chance to use that special one skein you have in your stash or to knit a quick gift knit.

The pattern features five textured stitch blocks, with garter stitch blocks in-between. It is a simple make but not so much that it is boring.

The shawl is an asymmetric triangle, beginning with slow increases on one side, and then rapid decreases to the end.
