SisterScarf
Inspiration came from yarn colours and shades, reminding me of ocean, sand, beach and turquoise sea water.
I tried to design a dinamic texture, like a sort of weaving pattern, whose changes are unpredictable, exactly like sea waves and undertow sand are.
The pattern is an easy repetition of shells or arcades, resembling what in Italy is called “colosseum stitch” for its imaginative shape of Rome Colosseum arcades.
Wide and length have been studied to fit all sizes and all purposes: the #SisterScarf can be worn either as a scarf or as a stole, depending on personal taste, wearability and use. It can therefore be customized once worn.
I also added fancy details on one edge with irregular fringes in a sort of boho-hippy style. On the opposite side the finishing is definitely a simple stitch, to create a contrast and an asymmetric line.
