SITKA is a modern and cozy vest with an easy knit/purl stitch pattern. It’s an easy to wear, no-fuss garment that will look good with anything and is perfect for everyday wear.

Are you afraid of adding a zipper to your knits? No need to be! A detailed photo tutorial is part of this pattern.

SITKA is worked top-down, beginning with a folded collar. The upper part of the yoke is worked with contiguous increases to the final shoulder width, while the neckline is shaped with short rows for better fit. Back and fronts are worked flat separately to the underarm, then joined and worked flat in one piece to the bottom hem. The armhole trim is worked from stitches that are picked up around the armholes. Finally, a zipper is installed for a casual finish. Optional directions for working Sitka as an open front vest are also included.

The pattern includes both written and charted directions.
