This pattern requires at least some knowledge of a thumb gusset.

While intended for the average female hand, casting on 60 stitches would tighten the ease a bit and shortening the cuff by one repeat is also a nice fit to save on yardage as the original pattern has a long arm/cuff.

The palm is textured, not something you see a lot of in fingerless mitts, you can change the palm to a stockinette stitch and they turn out just as beautiful.

The Ribbing includes a P1tbl which can be changed to a simple P1 and still have a beautiful rib.
