All of my patterns are designed by me and are made to give some easy to read instructions for simple and effective knitting projects.

This chunky cable knit throw uses chunky wool, size 15mm needles, and a few simple to master knitting techniques to form a soft and cosy throw.

The pattern gives instructions on using the cable stitch as well as how to make the whole blanket. The pattern also shows how to alter the size of the finished throw by altering the number of rows and stitches.

This pattern should contain all of the information that you need to make the throw pictured but I am very happy to correspond to offer more advice or explanation as needed.

I hope that you find the pattern useful and that you enjoy your new creation!

You will need:

  • Chunky wool – I used Cygnet Seriously Chunky Wool – 10 x 100g balls*

  • 15mm circular knitting needles**

  • Cable needle

  • Crochet hook / large blunt needle for weaving in the ends

  • if you chose to increase the size of the throw that you are making you will need to increase the amount of wool accordingly the circular needles are needed to hold the large number of stitches; the blanket is not knitted in the round.
