Skjold is the Danish word for ‘shield’.

Skjold (Boy’s sizes) is worked from the bottom edge and up with a 3-colored pattern. The sweater has a circular yoke and sleeve construction.

This pattern is made for at yarn with a gauge of 18 stitches per 10 centimeters (stockinette stitch) i.e. a yardage of approximate 90 meters per 50 grams. (Pictured in yarn from Sandnes).

The pattern includes direction for knitting size 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 years with chest width 73 (78, 84, 91, 98, 107) centimeters and a length of 43 (46, 51, 54, 57, 61) centimeters.

This pattern is written for a knitter who is familiar with stranded knitting worked in the round, a knitter who is able to follow written instructions as well as charts and able to work increases, decreases and short rows. (Direction is a combination of text and charts).

Materials: yarn, knitting needles and stitch markers.
