Skógarblóm means Forrest Flower in Icelandic

The main element in the pattern is the flower or rose. It can be found in all kind of traditional, vintage nordic patterns.
The design represents to me the beauty of the wilderness, the woods, the fjells or highlands - simply the landscape of the North in all its color variations.

I recommend Léttlopi or Plötulopi for this sweater but you can use any kind of yarn as long as it matches the gauge. But don’t forget to recalculate the amount of yarn needed, if you take a different type of yarn.

Gauge with needle size 4.5 (US 7):

Léttlopi: 17 sts = 10 cm

Plötulopi: 18 sts = 10 cm

Approx. amount of yarn needed (Léttlopi):

basic color: (450g), 500g, (550g), 650g
pattern color rose: (100g), all other sizes 150g
all other colors: 50g

Description of the Eyelet Mock Ribbing is included in the pattern.

The pattern is knitted in the round - bottom up - with a yoke.
The pattern also has one single round that is knitted with 4 strands.
You will find written instructions and a colored chart.

Thank you for your interest and happy knitting!
