This is a pattern that I made based on the shawl available in the link. I wanted to be able to make just the diamond by itself. I adjusted the pattern for worsted yarn but it will work with any yarn. This is my first time posting so please forgive me if I did not do it correctly. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Row 1: Ch 3 (counts as first dc throughout pattern), 2 dc in 3rd ch from hook; turn. (3 dc)

Row 2: Ch 3, 2 dc in first st, ch 2, skip next st, 3 dc in last st; turn. (2 clusters)

Row 3: Ch 3, 2 dc in first st, ch2 skip 2 sts, 3 dc in ch-sp ch2, skip 2 sts, 3 dc in last st; turn. (3 clusters)

Row 4: Ch 3, 2 dc in first st, (ch2, 3 dc ch-sp,) 3 dc in last st; turn. (4 clusters)

Row 5. Ch 3. 2 dc in 1st st. Ch 2. 3 dc in ch-sp. Ch 8. Skip one ch-sp and make 3 dc in next. Ch 2. 3 dc in last st

Row 6. Ch 3. 2 dc in 1st st. Ch 2. 3 dc in ch-sp. ch 5. 4 single crochet around the chain. Ch 5. 3 dc in ch-sp. Ch 2. 3 dc in last st

Row 7. Ch 3. 2 dc in 1st st. Ch 2. 3 dc in ch-sp. Ch 5. 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc (onto the 4 sc from the previous round.) Ch 5. 3 dc in ch-sp. Ch 2. 3 dc in last st

Row 8. Ch 3. 2 dc in 1st st. Ch 2. 3 dc in ch-sp. Ch 6. And make 11 sc on the skull. ( 2 on the chain, 1 in 1st dc. 1 on ch-sp, 1 in 2nd dc. 1 on ch-sp. 1 in 3rd dc. 1 on ch-sp, 1 in the 4th dc. 2 on the chain= 11 sc) ch 6. 3 dc in ch-sp. Ch 2. 3 dc in last st

Row 9. Eyes. Ch 3. 2 dc in 1st st. Ch 2. 3 dc in ch-sp. Ch 8. 4 sc in the 4 1st sts on the skull. Chain 5 and skip 3 sts. 4 sc on the skull. Turn.

 Chain 10 and make a sc around the chain in the middle. Chain 10 and crochet a slipstitch into the very first sc you made. Turn.

 10 sc around each arch. Then a sl st. Chain 8 .  3dc in ch-sp. Ch 2. 3 dc in last st. 

Row 10. Chain 3 2 dc in 1st st. 2 ch. 3 dc in ch-sp. 8 ch and 16 sl st on skull (count 8 from the middle and start there). 8 ch. 3 dc in ch-sp. 2 ch. 3 dc in last st.

Row 11. Chain 4. 3 dc in ch-sp. Ch 2. 3 dc on the chain. Ch 6. 12 sc onto the skull( in the middle) Ch 6. 3 dc on the chain. Ch 2. 3 dc in ch-sp. Treble crochet in last st.

Row 12. Chain 4. 3 dc in ch-sp. Ch 2. 3 dc on the chain. Ch 6. 8 sc onto the skull. Ch 6. 3 dc on the chain. Ch 2. 3 dc in ch-sp. TR in last st.

Row 13. Chain 4. 3 dc in ch-sp. Ch 2. 3 dc on the chain. Ch 6. 6 sc onto the skull. Ch 5. 3 dc on the chain. Ch 2. 3 dc in ch-sp. TR in last st.

Row 14. Chain 4. 3 dc in ch-sp. Ch 2. 3 dc on the chain. Ch 5. 4 sc onto the skull. Ch 6. 3 dc on the chain. Ch 2. 3 dc in ch-sp. TR in last st.
