You only need two colors for this, I user Red Heart’s White and Gray Heather, but you can you whatever colors you like.

This pattern is only for the squares themselves but you can make more to make bandanas, bags, blankets and more!

Though it looks a bit complicated, it’s actually a very beginner friendly pattern, using stitches like chain, single crochet, double crochet and treble crochet (US terms). The finished product should be around 4 inches by 4 inches, from side to side, not corner to corner.

This is perfect to add a bit of a spooky season element to your granny square projects.
