General Pattern Notes
This shawl is worked flat in rows from the top down. The skulls are constructed and connected to each other, separately, after which they are connected to the main body of the shawl.
The skulls are worked in a combination of rows/rounds, therefore they will look best if made with solid color yarn. Plan your colors and yardage ahead of time using the instructions provided in the Yarn Notes section
For best results, use the recommended hook size and yarn weight, however you can use any combination of hook/yarn that are suited to each other. The shawl is very large and will provide adequate coverage at most gauges. Cotton, however, provides the best drape and stitch definition.
The pattern uses written and photo instructions, only, it does not have any charts.
