Skyglow is a bias knit shawl with equally applied increases and decreases on both sides of the work to create a gently sideways slanting texture. Scalloped lace pattern with twisted rib is worked on both sides of the project and runs same throughout the shawl in alternating colourways. I think the beauty of this shawl lies in the texture, that seems plain from the distance, but really opens up and blooms up close, and in the unique, seemingly watercolour variegated CC, which softly blurs the colours from distance and reveals the twisted rib stitches only at a closer look.

Skyglow started as an obsession with Rachelle’s (Moondrake Co.) Sunset Taiwan colourway. And it was during our trip to San Diego last year, when we were sitting on the beach late evening trying to hang onto another beautiful sunset, when I kept looking at it, and all I could see was the yarn colourway. It was a split second decision to finally go ahead and make a room on my needles for something beyond grey. (Grey - I still love you.)
The shawl is inspired by those glowing traces of sunset, broken pieces of colours that blend into each other and pour softly over the sky and the sand.

The pattern includes full written instructions, is also fully charted and includes stitch count checklists for easy reference.

The pattern has been thoroughly tech edited and test knitted.
