There’s something so calming about fluffy white clouds, drifting softly in a serene blue sky. Capture that feeling with the Skyward Shawl!

Take your favorite soft yarn and combine it with an easy-to-memorize pattern for a serene and gentle project that’s utterly soothing to work up. The pattern uses just dc and ch stitches, making it accessible to newer crocheters. It’s fully adjustable and can end on any third row, so it’s a perfect match to color changing yarns.

Yarn and Colors
The pattern calls for fingering weight, but works well for anything from a lace to worsted weight. It pairs well with most color styles - it’s gorgeous in a gradient, solid, or lightly speckled yarn. Variegation will obscure the pattern details, but the pattern works well to break up variegated yarns.

Skills Required
This is a beginner friendly pattern! dc, ch, Counting rows and stitches, Working into the ch-space, Working flat, Skipping stitches

Overview of the Finished Object
The Skyward Shawl is a top-down triangle worked in one piece. It’s mostly solid, with small bits of openwork worked in rows. The center spine is mostly solid and creates the look of diamonds down the center of the shawl.
