Slackcountry Socks are knit from the top down with twisted stitches in an elegant rib and cable pattern. The twisted stitches make for crisp and defined columns in this design. Knit it in BFL Sock for harder wearing socks!

Slackcountry is skiing and riding just outside marked ski boundaries in search of fresh powder. The twisting and turning lines in these socks look like fresh ski tracks within straight boundary lines.

The columnar pattern itself is like a ribbing, so you cast on and dive right into the pattern stitches. No separate ribbed cuff is needed. These socks feature a reinforced Dutch heel for strength and durability. Sole of the foot is knit in stockinette for comfort.
