Sláinte (pronounced ˈslaːntʃə‘) is the Irish word for ‘health‘ and it is the thing to say before you take the first sip of your drink. There are literally thousands of pubs in Ireland, with cosy décor and always friendly guests to chat with, so it’s one of the Irish words almost everyone learns when visiting Ireland.

The socks are knitted cuff down. Heel flap and gusset are integrated into the leg and are knitted in the round. They come in two sizes, women’s M to fit leg circumference 20 cm (7.75”) and L to fit leg circumference 24 cm (9.5”). Leg length results in 20.5 (23) cm 8 (9)“ when knit as given in the pattern, adjustable.

You can choose to work the cable patterns either from the
charts or the written instructions.

Material: 1 skein of fingering weight yarn with a yardage of approximately 366 m (400 yds) per 100 g.
Notions: Cable needle, 4 stitch markers, darning needle.

The Sláinte pattern is also available as part of the Irish at Heart eBook.
