Simply stylish with just enough of a modern edge, these mittens are knit from a worsted weight wool and feature ribbing, stockinette, and garter stitch. Easy enough for beginners, but interesting enough for advanced knitters.

These make a mitten to fit a small to medium/average-sized woman’s hand, but the gauge and yarn be adjusted to size up or down.

I used Patons Classic Wool Worsted, but any worsted weight should work fine. Generally, one skein should be enough. (I had leftover yarn with the Patons.) You will need a set of US6 dpns and US 7 dpns, stitch holder, and tapestry needle for weaving in the ends.

This pattern uses simple stitches like knit, purl, knit 2 together, slip slip knit, and knitting into the front and back of a stitch.
