Slanternal is a fun asymmetrical scarf which continues to grow as you knit with each row both increasing and decreasing to angle the stitches and create a great modern piece.

The scarf is knit primarily in stockinette with rows of seed stitch to give the piece structure and a nice repetition to the pattern. I like to use a circular needle for the pattern because I find it easier to keep my knitting even and it allows me to really see the pattern grow as I’m working it. I find that both sides are quite exciting and beautifully show off an interesting pairing of colors.

NOTE: I am an incredibly loose knitter so it’ll be important to check the gauge since my tight knitting compadres will likely need to use larger needles to achieve the same size and draping.
