Where there is a hat for every age, there are mittens to match! These cozy hand warming beauties will complete the set with a coordinating Sled Run Hats. The busy, two-color pattern perfectly evokes the rambunctious fun of sledding on a bumpy hill. Knit in the round, the simple charted patterns are a great ice-breaker for newbie colorwork knitters.

The Sled Run Mittens pattern was designed to be part of the collection for Knitspot’s 11th annual Red Scarf scholarship fundraiser supporting Foster Care to Success.

This Red Scarf scholarship pattern is knit in Bare Naked Wools Festivus 6.0 Worsted (Merino/Cashmere/Silk) in the limited-edition, custom colorways Rudolph, and Abominable, along with Kent DK in White Caps and Mussel Shell. The Sled Run Mittens do not include the Sled Run Hat Pattern.

Yarn requirements:
Main color: 60(80, 100, 120) yards
Contrast color: 40(50, 70, 85) yards

Please note this pattern has written instructions for the cuff only; the mitten hand is charted. Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size, drape, or yardage requirement.
