SLEEPING FOX CROCHET AMIGURUMI PATTERN

This 8-page, nicely formatted PDF photo tutorial includes pictures at each step to guide you through the process of making a cute little sleeping fox for yourself or as a great present for any fox lover. In the tutorial you will also find useful tips on choosing the correct yarn and hooks for the project. The pattern is written in US terminology.

The toy can be made with yarn of any weight provided you crochet tightly enough. The heavier the yarn you take, the bigger your toy will be. The fox in the picture measures about 15 cm.

DIFFICULTY LEVEL:
Beginner to Intermediate with some amigurumi practice

MATERIALS:

• about 50 g or even less of rusty-orange yarn
• a little black yarn of the same thickness as the rusty-orange or a bit thinner. The thinner the black yarn is, the thinner the fox’s legs will be.
• lighter weight white yarn for the snout and tail tip.
• hook which is 1 or 2 sizes smaller than recommended for orange yarn; smaller hook for the snout
• thin non-fuzzy black yarn or embroidery thread for making the nose and eyes
• polyester filler
• wooden chopstick for pushing in the stuffing
• lots of sewing pins
• blunt tapestry needle or any thick long needle with a large eye
• scissors
• row counter and stitch marker (optional)
