A beautiful, sweet and cozy blanket for a lovely newborn!

The Sleepy Eyes Baby Blanket is a perfect size for wrapping your baby on the way home from the hospital, covering your baby in a car seat and, especially, for bundling your baby up for snuggling.

The lace pattern is easy to follow and looks more complicated than it is to knit. This design includes instructions on how to make the blanket a larger size and more variations for different styles of this blanket, if you wish to knit more. (This is a fun and addictive pattern!)

The yarn used in this pattern is my absolute favorite to use for baby knits. It’s soft, wonderful to knit with and machine washable. The perfect gift for a new baby in the family.

FEATURES:

  • Variations for how to give the blanket more or less width or length
  • Ideas on how to make each blanket unique
  • Written instructions and also lace chart included

STITCHES USED:

  • knit, purl, slip stitch

  • k2tog, yo, ssk

  • slip stitch, sc and dc (for optional crocheted border)

Hope you love this pattern as much as I loved creating it! Many thanks to Hilary Murphy for advising me with my crochet instructions!
