An asymmetric triangle shawl with lightly textured stripes that slide on by as you knit.

Skill level: intermediate (or adventurous beginner) that loves purling

Size: approximately 145cm (57”) wide and 35cm (14”) at the tallest point

Yarn: One skein of fingering weight yarn (approximately 400m or 437y/100g)

Colour recommendations: Light or bright in a solid, semi-solid or lightly speckled yarn

Needles: 4mm (US6) 80cm (32”) circular needle, or needle size to obtain gauge + one 5mm (US8) needle, or two sizes larger than your main needle, to bind off

Blocked gauge: 22s x 33r = 4” x 4” in stockinette, however the gauge is not crucial as long as you are happy with the drape and visibility of the texture in the fabric you are creating.

Other materials: 8 stitch markers (or more if you want to knit a larger version), tapestry needle

Required skills: cast on, increasing and decreasing, bind off
