Baroque architecture, a highly decorative and theatrical style, took basic architectural elements such as columns and made them higher, grander, more decorated, and more dramatic. In the Baroque style, every available space was decorated. This sock has a touch of baroque with fully patterned instep and heel flap and ½ Chevron columns traveling up the instep, heel flap, and sides of leg. Other sock features include: toe-up construction, classic Estonian stitch patterns, custom foot length, a short-Dutch heel, right and left crosses without cable needle, and optional toe shapes.
Pattern written from right-handed knitter’s perspective.

Difficulty: beginner to experienced beginner.
Fit/stretch: like stockinette sock.
Recommended yarn: colors solid, speckled, or stripes; tightly spun.
