Slip n Slouch
Materials:
-
A size six US circular needle in 16”, and either DPNs or a needle long enough for magic loop in the same size. I use Knit Picks interchangeables for this as it is easier to switch.
-
Yarn requirements: 85 grams worsted for the main color (I used Tosh Vintage in Short Court) Small amount for the contrast color (around 20 grams, I used Wool of the Andes in chocolate.)
The world’s best slouchy hat! Elongated slipped stitches create a ruching which gives the hat a nice slouch, and hides any jogs in the stripes
This pattern includes a worsted weight version as well as one specifically for noro kureyon. You’ll need about 1.25 skein for the main colors and less than .5 skein for the contrast for the noro version.
Skills needed: long tail cast on, slipping stitches, decreasing, working with two colors in a stripe pattern, working with two colors white doing a k1, p1 ribbing.
This pattern uses a little over half of a skein of tosh vintage and remnants of a contrasting color.
The pattern also has personalization suggestions.
