This skirt is worked side to side using Garter Stitch and Short Rows. There are no zippers, buttons, or elastic and there is only one seam. The rolled stockinette hem stitches are picked up from the main piece, as are the waistband stitches, then worked in garter.

This allows the skirt to simply be pulled over the hips or to rest comfortably at the hips. The rest of the skirt will nicely hug your curves and flare out at the bottom, giving you a flirty “swing” in your step.
