This pattern is for an oval made using slip stitch crochet short rows in the Bosnian method. 3 borders options are given including the overlapping leaf motif shown, and 2 simpler ones. Please see the accompanying video on my youtube channel which demonstrates everything in detail:

Any craft cotton (worsted weight) can be used here, but I am using the soft and beautiful Happy Shiny Cotton by Wool and the Gang for demonstration. The only notions required are a 5mm crochet hook.
