Simple slipped stitches in a contrast color create an eye catching lattice design throughout this lightweight hat.

This hat uses the same slipped stitch techniques as my “Clouded Whispers Cowl” and my “On the Fence” shawl. A video for this technique can be found HERE.

This hat uses about 50g of your solid, and less than 20g of your variegated. This is a great stash buster for fingering weight yarns!

MC) 50 g/approx. 200 yards fingering weight yarn - solid/tonal.
CC) 20 g/approx. 80 yards fingering weight yarn - variegated.
Shown with: “The Knitting Artist - Light” in (MC) - Midnight Summer and (CC) - Frozen Summer Harvest.
Yardage accounts for pom-pom also, if you don’t wish to make a pom-pom you’ll use less yarn.

Tools:
US Size 3/3.25 mm 16in circular knitting needle.
US Size 3/3.25 mm double pointed knitting needles.
Stitch markers to mark beginning of round.

Gauge:
6 stiches and 9 rounds = 1” in pattern.
17-18” diameter - stretches to fit up to 22”.
To increase or decrease in size, I recommend adding or subtracting 12 stitches
