Welcome to the Slipped-Up Beanie!

A funky design that uses slipped stitches to create a unique honeycomb effect without the need for difficult colourwork or cable stitches. This design may look challenging, but I assure you that this pattern is as simple as knitting and slipping a few stitches. The pattern contains two different crown decreases which makes it extremely adaptable in terms of the height of the finished beanie. Be sure to read the notes in the pattern to ensure you have all the correct information before starting your beanie!

SIZES:
The pattern includes sizes:
S - 48-53cm/19-21”
M - 53-58cm/21-23”
L - 58-62cm/23-24.5”
XL - 62-66cm/24.5-26”

S, M & L require 1 ball of main colour and 1 ball of contrast colour.
XL requires 2 ball of main colour and 1 ball of contrast colour.

The model has a size 59cm (23”) head and is wearing a L sizes beanie.

The pattern requires 4.5mm needles and 8ply/DK weight yarn. The pattern was written using Brooklyn Tweed’s Arbor yarn but you can easily substitute this yarn for an alternative.

Please remember that if you can’t source the yarn that is recommended then try to find a yarn with a similar tension gauge. The tension gauge is the most important part when ensuring your completed beanie is the same as what you see in the pictures. The tension for this pattern is 21 sts x 30 rows.

This listing is a knitted pattern and not a finished product. You will receive a printable version of the pattern.

The pattern is written with Australian terms but there are unit conversions in the pattern.
