Made from this beautifully soft luxury yarn to a tight tension for warmth and sturdiness, these slippers are super quick & easy to make and mega comfortable to wear!
Designed for beginner knitters (or experienced knitters in relaxed mode), the slippers are knitted flat and then seamed across the heel, toe, and top of the foot. More experienced knitters could easily adapt the instructions by working a provisional cast-on followed by a 3 needle bind-off or Judy’s magic cast-on to minimise back seam bulk (although I find that the slippers in the photograph are extremely comfortable as they are). Likewise, a 3 needle bind-off at the toe could be incorporated.
The pattern is offered in six sizes as indicated, ranging from 16cm to 30cm foot (US child size 9 to adult size 12)(UK child size 8 to adult size 11). The stitch pattern lends itself to an extremely elastic fabric, so it is important to measure carefully and not over-knit the length, or they will be just too baggy in wear (#hoorayIcanstopknittingwhenI’mbored!).
Lastly, embellishment can know no bounds! The slippers look fab just plain, but a ribbon or pompoms are fun. Stripes, too, are an option - the options are limitless!
