Both of these designs are made holding 3 strands of superwash sock yarns held together. I used all the leftover remnant balls I had in blues, lavenders, pinks, creams and aquas for these 2 projects. The brands I had on hand were Regia, Cool Wool, Phydlbitz and Opal. It really doesn’t matter what brands or colors/colorways you use, as long as they are all the same weight/thickness and are all superwash.

The fun part of these projects is being able to drop one stand and replace it with another strand of a different color or colorway. The possibilities for color effects are only limited by your remnants on hand and which 3 you decide to hold together at any given time.

The finished pieces feel soft and comfy, and will be a pleasure to wear when the weather cools.

NOTES
This poncho is made in 2 separate but identically sized/shaped panels. You will always be working with 3 strands of yarn held together, but can change a strand at any time to add a different dimension to the color of the project. I divided all my remnant sock yarn balls into 2 equal portions, 1 for each panel. Then, I worked them in similarly sized and colored striped sections. You might choose to change your colors at random, without any planning at all, and that would make a very beautiful look.
