A palate cleansing knit to slow down in! A sheer mohair neckline provides the perfect opportunity to play with colour - go matchy matchy with your main yarn (I couldn’t resist hot pink with more hot pink), pair with a contrast, or stripe the mohair for a jazzy blended edge.

Construction: the Slow Down Sweater is worked from the top down. Stitches are cast on across the upper back and worked flat down to the armhole then set aside. Stitches are picked up along the shoulders to work the fronts separately before joining at the bottom of the neck opening.

The main body is worked in the round without shaping. Short rows are used to gently lower the back hem. A sheer neckband is picked up and knitted in laceweight yarn.

Stitches are picked up around the armhole openings to work the sleeves in the round. Short rows are again used to create shallow sleeve caps, which improves the fit of the drop shoulder. Gradual decreases are worked throughout the sleeve, before more rapid decreases are used to gather the cuff. Both the cuffs and hem are finished with rib and a small amount of sheer laceweight.

The Slow Down Sweater is #sizeinclusive from bust 28-62”.
