Gauge 16 sts for 4” in Stockinette Stitch.
Though it is not critical to this item.
You can use any 16 or 18 sts to 4” gauge yarn with size 8 needle. If you are a tight knitter, I would suggest going up to size 9.

Example used 1 skein Caron One Pound color Ocean.
Size 8 circular needle, 29” length.
2 Markers optional
