With the wavy garter reminiscent of the Lake right outside the Common Room Window, and the short cables resembling the patron Snake, these socks are a must have for all your Slytherin Classmates!

Pattern is written for magic loop, cuff down socks. The back of the sock is worked in plain stockinette, knitting each round. The stitch pattern is worked across the front of the sock on the leg and down the foot.

This pattern includes heel instructions for a Garter Short Cut Heel- a new heel design.

Yarn- Sample was knit with Knit Picks Stroll Tonal (75% super-wash merino wool 25% nylon; 462 yards per 100 grams). Any 100 gram skein of fingering weight yarn will do.

Gauge- 32sts X 56 rows in stockinette stitch

Needles- U.S 2 (2.75mm) needle with a 32’’- 40’’ cord for magic loop.

Notions- Scissors, yarn needle, cable needle.
