This pattern is designed to fit my range of toy animal patterns (the small 7 inch size not the larger 9 inch). It does not include the patterns for any of the animals nor any of the other clothing (not dresses, shorts or shoes). Those patterns are available separately and are only shown here to illustrate the coats and cardigans being worn.

This pattern contains 3 basic cardigan/jacket/coat shapes:

• a short waist length cardigan/jacket,
• a short waist length V neck cardigan
• and a knee length A line coat

The short cardigan/jacket and the longer A line coat can both be made with either a round neckline, a little ribbed collar or a hood. The hood will fit over the head of the animals with smaller ears such as the mouse and bear and for the animals with taller ears it looks nice just folded at the back and I’ve designed it with a curved bottom edge when it’s worn in this way.

Please note that these garments will only fit the small sized animals (7 inch) with removable clothing, and not the 9 inch size or mini ones.

All garments are knitted flat and seamed with 2.75mm (US 2) needles and 4ply/fingering weight yarn. They are worked from the bottom up in separate pieces that are then joined at the neck by the collar/hood. The sleeves are picked up from the armhole edges and worked from the top down, using short row shaping to create the raglan sleeve shape.
