These Stockings are knit in the round from the cuff down.

This pattern includes instructions for 2 versions:
Version 1: uses 1 strand of worsted weight yarn (approx 40 yards), a size US 7 / 4.5 mm knitting needle, 4.0 mm (G) crochet hook.
Version 2: uses 2 strands of worsted weight yarn (approx 65 yards), a size US 11 / 8.0 mm knitting needle, 6.0 mm (J) crochet hook.

The crochet hook is used only to create the hanging loop using the chain stitch. An alternate idea would be to knit an I-cord for the loop.

04/30/10 - Correction to pattern. Row 45 in Version 1 had the incorrect stitch count listed. It was listed as 18 stitches and should be 24 stitches. The pattern instructions were correct, it just had the incorrect stitch count listed. A new version of the pattern with the correct info is now available.
