This small stocking is just the right size to hold a few bits and pieces; it’s a good way to dress up a modest gift. When knitted with DK weight yarn it’s about 15 cm / 6” tall; using thinner, 4 ply yarn gives a stocking roughly 13 cm / 5” tall. You will need less than 20g of yarn for the DK version and 10g for the 4 ply one.

The stocking is worked in the round and can be knitted plain, striped or in a broken stripe pattern. Instructions are given for the broken stripe version, with variations for the others listed afterwards.

All my ravelry patterns are free to download but, if you enjoy them, please consider making a donation to the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation, a charity which funds research and supports the families of children with a liver disease.
