Smilodon has been on my mind for a long time, I love these pawprints, they make me giggle every time I made one! To top that off my two cats just love walking all over me whenever I knit and so I decided to design a sock that would have little paws walking all over them. The name Smilodon comes from the magnificent saber-toothed cats of the Pliocene and Pleistocene (roughly 1.8 million years ago to 10,000 years ago), and every time I knit these socks I imaging little sabertoothed cat paw prints being fossilized in my knitting. Enjoy!
