This is a pretty pattern, knitted in the round, using an old traditional Shetland dice motif.

Gauge:- 3mm needles - 30 stitches by 35 rows for a 4 inch / 10cm measurement.

Needles:- This hat was made using circular 3mm needles, if you want it a little smaller, use 2:75mm needles.

Yarn:- Jamieson’s of Shetland Spindrift yarn, which is a 4ply yarn.
If you cannot get Jamieson’s yarn and you have a stash that requires 3mm needles to knit it, then you can also use your own lovely colours to blend in this pattern.

I used 1 ball of each of the following colours – Moorgrass, Dewdrop, Eggshell, Havana, Maroon, Rouge, Dusk.
