The word Smyga is a Swedish verb that means “to sneak”. This is one more in my series of sock patterns with feet related names in Swedish.

These easy, stretchy and textured socks are just made for sneaking in a little mini skein or two. Or a beautiful scrap you saved for something lovely. These socks are knitted top down, in the round, with a heel flap and gusset construction. The pattern is written for magic loop, but it can easily be transformed to be knitted on DPN:s.

Size S (56 sts) M (64 sts) L (72 sts). The fabric is very stretchy, kind of a rib actually, but will fit these foot and leg circumferences: S about 19 cm/ 7.5 inches (M about 21 cm/8.25 inches/ L about 23 cm/ 9 inches) The length of the socks is adjustable.

You will need a minimum of 20 grams/80 meters for the contrast colour.

The sample is knitted in a really cute colour combo, but this is a very basic stretchy gender neutral sock pattern, that would make great socks for all of the family and works well with all fingering weight, different coloured sock yarns.
